We knew we had found the perfect breeder from our first conversation with Gretchen. Her caring nature, wealth of information, and passion for dogs gave us the confidence to place a deposit for a puppy from Castle Rock Bernedoodles. She spoke with knowledge, experience, and confidence as she answered our many questions. The weekly pictures that Gretchen sent us helped us get to know the litter. During the 5-week “pick our puppy” visit, we met the whole family and fell in love with them.We picked up our puppy 3 days ago and greatly respect how Gretchen prepared our puppy to go home with us. Today we have a healthy, happy puppy because of the nurturing and care she received in her first 8 weeks.We highly recommend Castle Rock Bernedoodles. Their fur babies are lucky to have Gretchen’s family caring for and watching over them. We feel so fortunate to have found them. Gretchen is an amazing breeder! My husband and I have had a wonderful experience picking our dream puppy. She cares for each and every puppy so lovingly and is beyond organized. Meeting Gretchen and Castle Rock Bernedoodle has been a wonderful experience. Gretchen answered all our questions and stayed in constant contact with us during this adoption. Meeting the Gretchen and the puppies on pick day was wonderful. It was obvious that Gretchen really took care of the puppies. They were ALL healthy and happy. Pick day was difficult as they were all wonderful! On adoption day, Gretchen prepared our puppy for her trip home and provided her papers and immunization paperwork. I highly recommend Castle Rock Bernedoodle.

Gretchen is a wonderful breeder - loving and caring, which is obvious the moment you walk in. The puppies are downright gorgeous. They're healthy, playful, and well-fed, too. She is also very responsive if you have any questions about caring for your new pup. The one we got is exactly what a puppy should be - playful, curious, and fun. She's learning very quickly, and we are looking forward to many years together.

Gretchen and John are truly amazing! The love and care they show for their puppies is evident in how loving and smart these littlePups are. Our family has been waiting and researching for our perfect addition to our family and we definitely found ours thanks to these two amazing people. She was meant to be ours. They communicated any time we had questions and obviously have a wealth of knowledge in raising this breed. We have had our Bernadoodle home now for 2 days and can’t believe how fun and sweet he is. He is already potty trained and crate trained thanks to Gretchen and John putting in the effort 1-2 weeks before the pups went home. The communication until the time we picked “Goose’” up was second to none. Receiving pictures and information about our specific puppy. When we arrived on the day to take our pup home, Gretchen had everything organized for the vet, for us as dog owners, the dog micro-chipped and up to date on shots. What a fantastic experience! It doesn’t get better than this. Anyone that takes a Castle Rock Bernadoodle home will feel blessed and fortunate to have such a healthy dog from such caring breeders. Thank you again Gretchen and John. We love Goose!

Gretchen has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She is knowledgeable and answered every question along the way. All of the puppies were healthy, gorgeous, and Gretchen had already started potty training and introducing them to sounds and other new things to start the puppies off right. Gretchen helped us pick an amazing puppy who is so perfect that we now have 3 bernedoodles from Castlerock Bernedoodles! We love our major, maxi, and mini! They are all amazing dogs, are patient and loving with our 3 kiddos, and are gorgeous - phantom, tri-color, and tri-color sable!

I highly recommend Jim and Gretchen. They were very transparent during the entire process and sent cute pictures of the puppies every Friday. They answered every question and text we sent a long the way. I especially liked the way they decide selection order and how we were able to spend a full hour with the available puppies in a relaxed atmosphere when it was our turn to pick. Fast forward three months and we can not be happier with our decision. We picked up our little Copperbottom in Nov. He’s been the sweetest addition to our family. He had big paws to fill. His temperament is amazing and he is very very smart. Good with our teenage boys and our friends toddler. He knows to be gentle. This entire experience has been fantastic.

We feel very lucky to have found Gretchen and John. They helped us so much as we took on our new adorable puppy. Abby was so well taken care of by Gretchen and John. Fed the best of food and appropriately exposed to people, other animals and sounds. She is now a 4 month old confident, smart, healthy and absolutely adorable puppy that we cannot imagine our lives without. Could not recommend them more!

About 2 years ago I was in the Petco in Castle Rock. A family walked in with 2 of the most beautiful, striking young dogs that I have ever seen. After getting as much information that they had on the breed and the particular home breeder that they came from, I knew I would not be able to rest until I was able to find out all about these breathtakingly gorgeous dogs. Bernadoodles are the newest (and I believe) best of the designer doodle generation. I tracked downGretchen, the owner, of this site, and had to wait patiently to be on their litter list. September 4, 2020, at 7am my beloved little man was born with his 10 siblings. I sent over my deposit within the same hour through PayPal. It is great, they let you pick yours out based in the order that deposits are received. I was 3 on the list. By the end of the day, all 11 babies had been claimed, and a few people, had to wait for the next litter. The 11 of us prospective new puppy owners were greeted with photos every few days, weight updates and a weekly video once their eyes opened up. I had already fallen for a little guy that was a tri color phantom. His pictures were nothing short of gorgeous. The videos shared their first bath, first solid food, anything pertinent to our babies. I absolutely adored that they played soft classical music in their background, while the 11 little faces inhaled the solids. When the litter was 5 weeks and had first set of shots, we were given appointments in the order of being allowed to choose. These people love, cherish, protect, and give them every single thing that can possibly be done, to ensure a great, happy and healthy start for the lucky families. During the appointment she would only bring the out pups that hadn’t been chosen yet. As being number 3, I got to experience the remaining 9. Updates continued. Once Gretchen decided on what day and time would best fit the new family’s schedule and to lessen the Mama dog’s pain by staggering the pups leaving her to help lessen the anxiety and sadness that Momma experiences when puppies are ready to go to their new homes. She even takes a photo of every single new owner holding their new baby. On pick up day, nothing was rushed, my boy Parker had been freshly bathed and wearing an adorable little bandanna. Gretchen provided each of us a personalized folder, filled with information and all the records relative to each of these angels. She also sent home each puppies’ own blanket that they had each snuggled in with their Momma and siblings. Shot record, deworming, any thing that could be done to make the transition as easy on the babies that she can possibly do. So, you are handed a gift bag with free coupons to the particular puppy food that they had been eating. They were each microchipped with a lifetime service monitoring already taken care of and in place. Fully expecting my new baby to cry that first night and him being terrified, but instead I enjoyed a young puppy that had confidence and complete trust already instilled in them. He shocked me and my son by ( 8 weeks old) already being trained to walk on a leash, down, shake hands, and had potty training already deeply successful. I know that Gretchen loves each and every single puppy. She contacted me every so often, to just check on him, and seeing if I had any questions or concerns. Now I am the person who gets approached by multiple people every single time I take him out in public. On their first birthday, she sent each of them happy birthday wishes and we were allowed to share our own photos of these babies. Every single puppy had grown into a regal, confident beyond belief, gorgeous dog and extremely healthy. I fully realized how special she is, when on Christmas Eve, my boy and girl doodles gave birth to one puppy. It was scary. I reached out to Gretchen and I completely attribute this gorgeous little girl, that I named Hope, is alive and thriving at 4 and a half weeks old. She was a constant available resource and Christmas week and all she invited to bring Hope to her so she could teach me how to care for her.

Gretchen and her husband were a joy to work with. She loves all her puppies and takes extreme care of the dogs as if they are her own kids. She is super quick to respond, and she communicated all of the necessary details and much more. She was super helpful, our boy is healthy and such a joy. Will recommend others to her.

Gretchen was amazing to work with from the first phone call. She clearly loves and takes great care of her dogs and their puppies. She was very responsive and fully answered all questions we had. Updates and pictures were sent every week. Puppy picking day was so much fun. We sat on the floor covered in puppies trying to make a very difficult decision. They were all so cute. We chose our adorable Gus and brought him home at 8 weeks. Gretchen introduces the puppies to thunder and other noises, leash training, and begins potty training. He has become very comfortable in the few days we’ve had him and follows our big dog around, well, like a puppy.

I can't say enough about Castle Rock Bernadoodles. Their puppies are gorgeous, sweet, and playful. The owners take great care to ensure healthy, wonderful dogs. We didn't end up taking home a puppy, but our experience with them was so positive I wanted to leave a review. I found them through word of mouth, and owners are MORE than happy to share their wonderful dogs. I could really tell they love these dogs and take great joy in finding happy homes for them.

We meet with the owners they were wonderful ! The puppies were in a little playpen . So we could see them and hold them . We chose one sweet little boy! If I could have I would have taken them all lol. We are so excited and can’t wait to bring home our little puppy.

We found Castle Rock Bernedoodles on the Neighborhood app and I’m really glad we did. From the first phone call we were deeply impressed with Gretchen. Meeting all of the puppies was such a fun, inviting and educational event! It was really difficult to choose just one but ultimately, we picked our little Miko. We visited Gretchen and Miko frequently before he was ready to come home with us. Miko is such a sweet boy! Very well mannered and extremely smart. One of the best things about Gretchen is the constant communication before we met, after we picked him out and even today! We even have a group chat with most of Miko’s siblings parents. If we ever want to get another Bernedoodle, we WILL go back to Castle Rock Bernedoodles!

We got our super adorable "Chewie" the Bernedoodle from Castle Rock Bernedoodle almost 2 years ago. This family has done a fantastic job breeding and as a result we have a HEALTHY puppy. He was easy to train and listen well. Gretchen was instrumental in helping us selecting our puppy out of the litter. She is experience and easy to work with. Even post the sales, we are still maintaining contact on regular basis. Whenever we ask her a question she responded speedily. I would recommend
